As part of the World Green Building Week – WGBW25, the Serbia Green Building Council organized the traditional Green Tour, an annual event that brings together professionals from the construction and real estate sectors. The tour offers an opportunity to explore representative examples of sustainable buildings in Serbia and learn more about cutting-edge systems and solutions shaping the industry.
This year’s Green Tour was held in Novi Sad, featuring a detailed presentation and guided visit of the InGrid Schneider Electric Hub – a project designed and delivered by our team at Zabriskie, already recognized with multiple awards for sustainable architecture.
The building has a strong historical identity: originally an industrial hall of the former Novkabel factory, it has been comprehensively reconstructed and adapted into a modern business hub, fully aligned with the principles of green building and sustainability. From the very beginning, these principles guided the project – from the initial concept to technical solutions.
At the event, our Project Director Milena Katić, together with hosts from Schneider Electric, presented the main priorities and design choices behind the transformation. Special emphasis was placed on:
- energy efficiency and advanced building management systems,
- optimized ventilation and air conditioning,
- maximized use of natural daylight,
- integration of greenery through atriums and green corridors,
and a range of technical innovations that contributed to the building’s achievement of the prestigious LEED Platinum certification.
Following the presentations, participants joined a guided tour through all parts of the building – including workspaces, meeting rooms, the central “square,” green atriums, the innovation hub, gym, and technical areas – experiencing firsthand how sustainable solutions enhance both functionality and the quality of the working environment.
