Zabriskie is one of the founders and key drivers of the Association of Serbian Architectural Practices (ASAP), a professional organization that brings together around 100 architectural firms from Serbia and partners from the construction industry.

The latest ASAP program season was the most intensive yet, featuring numerous events and activities held across Serbia and the region. The focus has been on connecting the architectural community and improving professional practice in line with contemporary market demands.

Traditional ASAP Summer Cocktail: Gathering Key Stakeholders

As the highlight of the spring season, the traditional ASAP Summer Cocktail was held, bringing together partners from the construction industry, representatives of real estate companies, program partners, collaborators, and representatives of member firms of the association.

At the event, Zabriskie partner and ASAP Board President Vladimir Đorić addressed the attendees with a message of gratitude, unity, and a call for continued engagement in advancing the architectural profession and its vital role in developing sustainable and quality spaces.

“Around the vision of making Serbian architecture recognized and respected worldwide, we have gathered over 100 firms from across Serbia. The past season was our most intensive yet, with over 80 different events and activities. We are particularly proud of the decentralization and internationalization of our work – organizing events in 10 cities and two countries, with guests from the region and Europe. Our focus remains on continuously strengthening professional standards, education, and cooperation with investors and other sectors. Together, we continue to build architecture that shapes a better and fairer society.”

Decentralization and Internationalization as Key Working Principles

In recent months, ASAP organized events simultaneously in two Serbian cities for the first time, as well as activities in countries across the region. This new, decentralized working model enables faster and more efficient knowledge exchange, broader inclusion of diverse stakeholders, and opens space for meaningful dialogue about architecture, entrepreneurship, and investment practices.

We are particularly pleased that the topic of architectural creativity and entrepreneurship from Serbia is becoming part of international conversations. ASAP’s programs already have regional and global reach, confirming that Serbian architecture has valuable contributions to offer and can serve as an example fostering the improved development of the real estate sector worldwide.

The Strength of the Community in Numbers and Activities

The past year brought impressive results:

– 20 Meetup events
– 10 live stream productions
– Over 30 workshops and public events
– Cooperation with key partners such as NALED, the Museum of Applied Arts, and the Oris House of Architecture from Croatia

Programs were held in as many as 10 Serbian cities, with seven international guests from Croatia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, and Belgium participating.

ASAP as a Driver of Positive Change

For us at Zabriskie, membership and active participation in ASAP represent a committed effort to build a relevant, collaborative, and professionally responsible architectural practice. Through these activities, we build bridges between architects, investors, and other key stakeholders in the real estate sector, with a clear goal: to make architecture a bearer of long-term value for the spaces and communities in which we live and work.
